So here we are in class 3! Wow, this is flying. I find it very interesting that we are using the theory of connectivism for this class....but with a small number of participants. It is interesting that as we become a more technological world, we use connecting online at such a rapid pace. I post a question on linkedin, facebook or google+ and with-in minutes, I have responses and suggestions from people all over the world! It is just amazing to think that all of these resources are right here in front of me through this little machine, connecting me to anywhere at anytime. hmmmmmm
Julie, I love the background on your Blog. It is so beautiful, like a watercolor painting or a silk batik fabric. I agree with you that it is crazy how far we have come connecting with others. I had no idea that we would be connecting with students from another class this semester. I feel that the pace of the connections is often ahead of my ability, but I just keep plugging along. The YouTube was informative and to the point. I feel that I already have a grasp of many of the theories thanks to everyone's postings.
ReplyDeleteI'm focusing on connectivism in my solo paper and what I like most about the theory is the idea that the gathering of the information is a greater learning experience than the actual information that's gathered. It's how we assimilate what we've found and how we use it to develop new knowledge. It's the basis for my role as a media specialist so I have to love connectivsm!
